Subhadra’s debut book is a lively and irreverent exploration of ten founding ideas of Western civilisation that encourages us to look at the world with fresh eyes.
Some things are a given: knowledge is power, time is money, justice is blind. But what if many of the big ideas that underpin Western civilisation are not just ideas? What if they're outright lies? Isn't it time we asked who really benefits from the values at the core of our society?
In conversation with a guest host, Subhadra puts everything back on the table and asks viewers to reconsider what they thought they knew about civilisation, starting with the ten lies that have shaped all our lives.

The event will initially be broadcast on 15 April at 6.30pm UK time. It will be available to view up to two weeks after the event has ended and can be accessed Worldwide. If you live in a time zone that does not suit the initial broadcast time you can watch it at any point after the initial showing for two weeks.
