A Night In with Big Has
In conversation with Allan Mustafa to mark the publication of Big Has Home: Recipes from North London to North Cyprus.

Spend a delicious evening with half Turkish Cypriot, half British chef Hasan Semay (a.k.a. Big Has) as he presents real food cooked right – no tablecloths or fancy china, just friends round the BBQ. The talented North-London based chef and host of YouTube’s Sunday Sessions aim is to make incredible restaurant-quality food available to the masses, teaching his followers to appreciate ingredients and understand cooking not through dull step-by-steps, but by engaging more intuitively with the processes.

Celebrating the publication of his new book with actor Allan Mustafa (a.k.a Seapa from People Just Do Nothing), Big Has will explore how food is a celebration of coming together, sharing recipes for food that is beautiful and robust with Mediterranean influences from his Cypriot heritage, as well as from his time working in kitchens across London.
Relaxed, informative and peppered with anecdotes about being accepted onto Jamie Oliver’s prestigious ‘Fifteen’ programme, working in professional kitchens, and discovering a true love of cooking, this promises to be a celebration of the recipes and the people that made Big Has who he is today.
