A Live Stream: Monty Don

In conversation to celebrate the release of his new book, My Garden World: the natural year.

Monty Don O.B.E. is the UK’s leading garden writer and broadcaster. He has been making television programmes for over thirty years and has been lead presenter of the BBC’s Gardener’s World since 2003. Since 2011 the programme has come from his own garden, Longmeadow, in Herefordshire.

Join Monty, interviewed by author and editor Charlotte Mendelson, for this exclusive online event, as he discusses My Garden World: the natural year, observed from the immediate world around him. It is a timely and thought-provoking celebration of the wildlife that we all share. These last few months have given us the enforced opportunity to learn more about the fascinating natural world around us and whether you live in the countryside or the town, Monty’s observations and insights are relevant to each and every one of us.

‘Gardens are the last bastion of many species as a result of the ravages of modern agriculture and the front line of climate change. ‘Wildlife’ or being ‘In Nature’ is not something that exists on the other side of the world but right here, right now outside your back door.’

This event will be broadcast world-wide live from the UK on 18th September at 3:30am AEST (6:30pm BST 17th September) & available to view on demand up to 48 hours after the event has ended.

Fane Online is a curated series of broadcast-quality live-streamed events, giving you the chance to watch exclusive shows with celebrated authors, actors and podcasters, all from the comfort of your own home.
