Mind Over Miles
10,000 miles. 16 countries. 352 days. Hardest Geezer Russ Cook became the first person ever to run the entire length of Africa, pushing through the harshest conditions and raising over £1 million for charity along the way.
From battling sandstorms in the Sahara to navigating rainforests and mountain ranges, Russ faced incredible challenges, including attempted kidnappings and an armed robbery. But despite it all, he never gave up. After 50 weeks and the equivalent of 386 marathons, he crossed the finish line in Tunisia with the world watching.
Africa may have been his most physical challenge yet but it certainly wasn’t his first. For years, Russ hid from the realities of life by drinking too much and losing himself in the world of online gambling and it wasn’t until he discovered running and sought out endurance challenges that life took a different turn. He soon learned that you don’t get to avoid the struggle, but you do get to choose it.
Hear his inspirational story full of sheer grit and incredible determination LIVE. As Russ says “You get one chance at life. Go and have a stab at it.”
Every ticket will include a hardback copy of Hardest Geezer: Mind Over Miles (RRP £22) published October 24th.
