Who's That Girl?
Easy come, easy go, but Eve gon’ be lastin’. Join Grammy-award-winning MC and Hip Hop legend, Eve, for a historic night celebrating the release of her memoir, Who’s That Girl?.
The year is 1999. Eve Jihan Cooper made history with her solo debut album, Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady. It reached number one on the Billboard 200, marking her as the third female rapper ever to obtain that position. With three chart-topping albums that made unparalleled waves in hip-hop, as well as trailblazing moments in TV, film, and fashion, Eve now looks back on her groundbreaking career.
Starting her journey from the Mill Creek Projects in West Philadelphia was not for the faint of heart — Eve knows that better than anyone. However, she will share how she navigated those Philly streets (and later the rest of the world) with strength and resilience. From her entrance as "Eve of Destruction" into a male-dominated hip-hop industry, to the deeper story behind Scorpion that was never told until now, and the internal battle with her music, her label, and herself after Lip Lock.
With a gritty realness true to her style, Eve discusses her rise to stardom as a pioneering female MC. Her incredible yet enduring struggle to balance her personal and professional lives makes this more than just an event, it's a rare chance for an intimate look into the life of a legend.
