Fane Online Manager

What do you bring to the team?

Since studying English and Drama at Queen Mary UOL and theatre devising at Jacques Lecoq, I’ve had a few different roles in the theatre and entertainment world. Amongst other things, I’ve worked for Punchdrunk, produced community theatre in Ladbroke Grove, set up my own theatre company and produced a monthly performance night for developing theatre in a cold Walthamstow warehouse. I’ve worked a lot collaboratively, with different types of people, usually involving some sort of manual labour. This experience has helped me to fully realise my potential of being a Jack of all trades at FANE, where I went from coordinating the logistics that brought our live tours to life, to navigating FANE’s first online events in 2020, including an (albeit bespoke) online book delivery service.

Describe your favourite Fane moment?

July 2020, sat in a hot basement office replying to customer service emails, whilst in the next room our first Fane Online event, Fi Glover and Jane Garvey, was being live streamed to the homes of people across the UK and beyond. It was very special to see the online platform working and being able to reach audience members again, after the pandemic related hiatus.
